NO FRILLS FUNDRAISERS
An easy way for FVMS parents to help the school is by participating in the many educational fundraising programs offered by local/national companies. These programs require little effort from parents and provide huge benefits for FVMS. The programs we currently participate in and their requirements are:
GENERAL MILLS BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION: Our school gets 10 cents for EACH boxtop we collect! The more we collect the more cash we earn. The cash can be used for anything the school needs. Box Tops for Education have three separate program components – Clip, Shop, and Charge.
(1) The Clip program allows you to earn cash for your school by clipping Box Tops for Education coupons from hundreds of participating products.
(2) The Shop program allows you to earn cash for your school by shopping online through the Box Tops for Education Marketplace accessed at www.boxtops4education.com.
(3) The Charge program allows you to earn cash for your school by using the Box Tops for Education Visa card issued by Chase Bank
Qualifying Box Tops coupons can be found on packages of participating General Mills Big G cereals, Betty Crocker® products including Betty Crocker® fruit snacks, Yoplait® yogurt multipacks, Yoplait® Go-GURT™ yogurt, Old El Paso® products, Pillsbury® refrigerated and frozen products, General Mills and Pillsbury® food service products, Pop Secret® popcorn, Gardetto’s® and Chex Mix® snack mixes, Bugles® corn snacks, Pillsbury® fresh bread, Cascadian Farms™ cereals, select Ziploc® products, and select Kimberly-Clark products. For a complete list of participating products visit www.boxtops4education.com. Please clip the boxtop logos from participating General Mills products and send them to the school with your children.

TYSON PROJECT A+: We are taking part in a national fundraising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. called Tyson Project A+™. Through this program, we can raise as much as $12,000 for our school this year! The money we raise can go towards buying books or computers, making improvements to our buildings, or anything else that we want. All we have to do to participate is clip and save the entire Project A+™ label from participating Tyson products. Each label we collect is worth 24¢ for our school. HARRIS TEETER TOGETHER IN EDUCATION: As you buy Harris Teeter Private Label items, Harris Teeter contributes 2% of those purchase dollars to the school of your choice. Harris Teeter also offers special promotions throughout the school year where you can earn even more money for your school. To participate simply give the Harris Teeter cashier your VIC card and our school’s Together in Education number (FVMS’s number is 3652) If you forget the number, don’t worry the cashiers and customer service reps have a list of the local school numbers. Just tell them to link your VIC card to FVMS. If you prefer you can link online at https://www.harristeeter.com/default.aspx?pageId=32. You only have to sign up once per school year! If you have participated in their program in the past, don’t forget that you must sign up again for the upcoming 2007-2008 school year.
TARGET’S TAKE CHARGE OF EDUCATION PROGRAM: Sign up for the Take Charge of Education Program by calling 800-316-6142 or visiting Target.com. Designate FVMS and Target will donate an amount equal to 1% of your Target Visa or Target Card purchases (minus returns and sales tax) at any Target Store and Target.com. Target will donate ½% of Target purchases (not including cash advances, balance transfers, etc.) everywhere else you use your Target Visa. Target tracks purchases and issues payment to our school twice a year.
KROGER PLUS CARD FOR EDUCATION SCHOOL PROGRAM:
We are participating in the Kroger Plus Card for Education School Program. This program provides much needed educational equipment for our school. Please take this to a local Kroger store. Have the cashier scan the bar code along with your Kroger Plus Card. This will register your card for our school. You only have to scan this bar code one time. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your Kroger Plus Card our school will electronically earn credit toward free educational equipment. There is no cost to participate and this will not interfere with credits you are earning for any other shopping promotions at Kroger. Once you have scanned our bar code, please pass this notice along to friends, neighbors or co-workers so they can help us earn educational equipment also. If you do not have a Kroger Plus Card, please get one at any Kroger store, take this with you and you can start earning credit for our school!

There are boxes located in the cafeteria for all labels. You or your child can just drop them in the box. Nothing more for you to do but save those labels..
FVMS BOOSTER CLUB
Supporting Our Athletes!GO BENGALS!!
The FVMS Booster Club is an organization that supports all athletics
at Fuquay-Varina Middle School, the facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds. Wake County gives each Middle School a very small amount of money to operate the athletic department
each year. The school is required to raise the rest through gate
fees or fundraisers.FVMS is now offering a Booster Club Membership/Pass. The cost
of the membership is $15.00 per person or $55.00 per family. This membership is valid for the entire school year!The pass will allow whoever has their name on it admittance into
any FVMS Athletic Event held at FVMS. This can be an incredible savings over gate tickets!
LEAPIN LIZARDS
Leaping Lizards is helping out your school! Purchase coffee on
the 3rd Monday of the month and let them know that you are
from FVMS and they will donate 10% of their proceeds to our school.
